We would like to invite you to vote for your patient advocate of the year in the 2017 Hurley Awards. Vote here! Voting will close at 5pm on Sunday 19th November and the winner will be announced on December 7th 2017.

We are pleased to announce that the Hurley Group have co-located the New Cross Health Centre, our other Lewisham practice, into suite 3 at the Waldron.   The original reason for doing this was that the New Cross Health Centre lease was coming to an end and therefore an alternative location had to be found.

We consulted our patients at New Cross Health Centre and they wanted to stay with the Hurley Group and they also wanted to move to a local site.   During the consultation period it became clear that there were other benefits associated with this change such as:

•             Staff will work across all of the Suite 3 services, and

•             It enables the Hurley Group to provide a wider range of services to a larger group of patients from one location

The practice moved in on the 2 October 2017 so everyone is settling in.  It may appear that the waiting room is frequently busy, but it now services both practices and the walk-in centre.  We have made adjustments to the practice appointment systems in order to minimise any additional congestion.

If you have any comments or suggestions we would love to hear from you. Email:  LEWCCG.Hurleywaldron@nhs.net

Appointments

Registered patients (the GP practice)

  • We have many same day appointments, appointments you can book days or weeks in advance, and telephone consultations.  (If you have an urgent problem needing same day attention, it is best to call the surgery early at 8am-10am)
  • If you are a registered patient without an appointment, and want to use the walk-in service, please visits New Cross Walk-in Centre
  • If you are a housebound patient and unwell, we kindly request you call the surgery before 11am if possible so that we can best accomodate you if a visit is needed.

Helpful Hint, Make the most of your appointment!

By letting our reception staff know some details when booking your appointment, they will be able to offer you the most appropriate appointment length and clinician :

  • What your problem is (so you are booked with the correct clinician).
  • If you have more than one problem to discuss (our standard appointment length is 10 minutes), or require a longer appointment.
  • If an interpreter is needed.

Thank-you for remembering to cancel your appointment if you are running late or cannot make it, so that we can continue to offer more appointments to all patients, every day.
